JOE KORT
Since 1985, openly gay psychotherapist Joe Kort, MA, MSW has been
nationally certified in Imago Relationship Therapy with gay and lesbian
clients and offering weekend workshops and retreats for singles and
couples. He specializes in sexual addiction, sexual abuse and
addictions. He provides trainings to straight clinicians about Gay
Affirmative Psychotherapy (GAP) around the country.

An adjunct professor teaching Gay and Lesbian Identity Development
and Treatment at Wayne State University’s School of Social Work, he

Joe is the author of “10 Smart Things Gay Men Can Do To Improve
Their Lives” as well as the upcoming “10 Smart Things Gay Men Can
Do To Find Real Love” both published by Alyson books.  He is
currently working on a book with Norton publishers for straight mental
health therapists on how to effectively work with lesbians and gays.
